Starting earlier this week, the singer-songwriter, aka Annie Clark, posted a message telling followers to tweet the hashtag #strangemercy to get a song from the upcoming album of the same name (it's actually spelled out 'Strange Mercy').
As the days went by and her fans complied, unlocking some odd teaser videos along the way, 'Surgeon' was finally made available early on Friday.
Check out the dreamy, synth-heavy track below. 'Strange Mercy' is due out Sept. 13 from 4AD.
