Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale Fined for Being Drunk and Disorderly -- Video

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Stockdale was allegedly so drunk by 9PM that the staff refused to serve him any more alcohol, though his friends apparently still tried to ply him with drinks. While a band was playing onstage, he jumped up uninvited and supplied some off-kilter vocals to a cover of the Beatles' 'Let It Be,' tossing in the line "Oh, motherf---er, let it be."
Later, when the staff told the 35-year-old rocker to leave the bar, he sat down on the floor and refused to budge. The police were called and he was charged with "being drunk and disorderly, failing to leave licensed premises and resisting removal of licensed premises."
Stockdale's penalty? A $350 fine. His lawyers appeared in court without him and entered guilty pleas for all the charges. "He is the lead singer of a band, he got on stage and tried to sing a song ... the other guitarists there, they took exception to that," Stockdale's lawyer Noel Barbi said. He also added, "Mr Stockdale simply had too much to drink."
