Rogue and singer Kate Long's vocals meld quite well on title track 'Come Back to Us,' producing an intimate and pastoral effect. The chorus, though hesitant and reserved, allows the listener to be lulled through the rest of Rogue's acoustic landscape, each part of the song giving way to the next, collapsing into a padded and wondering electric solo.
The video for 'Come Back to Us' features Rogue and Kate traveling through the hills and valleys of California in an old beat-up truck. The pair find a river to deploy a small boat and sail slowly through the water.

"This is the second chance I've had to work with [director] Tyler Manson," Rogue tells Spinner. "This time around, he told me we were gonna get inside his friend Jay Nelson's boat and ride along, cameras is hand. Some day I hope to release the behind-the-scenes footage (filmed by yours truly) of us trying to actually get the boat into the water. It was kind of a nightmare trying to lift it over the bank and slide it into the water. After that, the 1/2-horsepower engine wouldn't start, so Tyler and Jay got into wetsuits and had to swim behind the boat, pushing it and also trying to film at the same time. It was hilarious. I thought for sure they were going to drop one of those mega-expensive cameras into the drink. I'm glad me and Kate held onto the Super 8."
And this wondering sensation is present throughout Rogue's first solo album 'Come Back to Us' which will be released July 26 via Brushfire records. Check out the video below.
