Amy Winehouse Funeral Features Eulogy by Her Father, 200 Friends and Family

Fans and photographers gathered outside the Edgwarebury Cemetery in Edgware as some 200 relatives and friends of the singer arrived. As the BBC News reports, among the congregation were Mark Ronson, who produced her smash album 'Back to Black,' and Winehouse's good friend, Kelly Osbourne, who sported the late singer's trademark beehive hairdo as a tribute.

As the Daily Mail reports, Winehouse's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil was not granted permission to leave prison, where he is serving 32 months for burglary and firearms possession, to attend the service. Even if he were allowed to leave, Mitch Winehouse, Amy's father, would reportedly not let Fielder-Civil into the funeral, as he credits the current inmate with introducing his daughter to drugs. On top of that, Fielder-Civil has allegedly been left out of Amy's will.
The service was administered by Rabbi Frank Hellmer and Mitch gave a eulogy. "Mitch was funny, he told some great stories from her childhood," Amy's rep Chris Goodman told the Daily Mail. It was a celebration. He stressed many times that she had been more content than he had been in years. Mitch paid tribute to a lot of people from Amy's life."
According to attendee Alfie Ezekiel, "Mitch's last words to Amy in his eulogy were 'Goodnight my angel. Sleep tight. Mummy and Daddy love you ever so much.'"
The ceremony ended with the playing of Amy's favorite song, Carole King's 'So Far Away.' Her body was then transferred to Golders Green Crematorium for cremation, while hundreds of fans stood outside to pay their final respects.

I am a firefighter with 30 years on the job and I GUARANTEE I have done a thousand things better than you. How many times have YOU cut a family out of a car on the side of the interstate, me hundreds alot of them due to drunks like AMY ?? How many times have YOU done CPR on a lifeless person?? How many times have you been puked on, smelled their own urine or feces in the back of an ambulance because a "drunk" can't handle their liquor (like AMY). How many times have YOU put on 50-75lbs of equipment in 90-100 degree heat to fight a fire. How many friends of YOURS have died in the duty of their job? I lost 365 in one day not too long ago.. Your right I'm a no name, but alot of people wish they knew the name of me and my brothers and sisters who do my job.

Why do you have such a problem with forgiveness and recognizing people "finally" for their best moments and not their weakest or worst moments? Though it's not easy to be around or try to function with someone who is self-medicating, it's important to know and remember that they are in pain and are just trying to feel better. If you don't care for her music, fine, but you are pretty ignorant of her body of work (musically) and though you're entitled to your opinion, must you slam her here? Go get happy Roger. But about Amy, I happened to have everyone of her recordings and I loved at least 95% of them. I think her music, singing & dancing improved in spite of the meds & booze, but then she went too far. It became painful to watch her spiral down, but again, she was in emotional pain. Amy, sorry you had to go so soon, but alas, it was your choice. Thanks for all the recordings you've left us. RIP.

Amy was a 1 Hit wonder at best who sang most of her stuff F'd up on stage!! Every TV ,magazine or paper mostly mentions the "REHAB" song she did 2 years ago or whatever!! So basically thats the only thing she is known for and mostly for being F'd up on stage. Maybe if she WOULD have gone to REHAB she wouldn't be DEAD!!! Just Sayin!!!

I had ones a son whose life was ruined and gone because of drugs. This is really sad and devalstating result of drug but Amy had quit because of her death. Yes, sleep well Amy and GBU
