Dropkick Murphys frontman Ken Casey came up on the wrong end of a Jonathan Papelbon fastball, but luckily for the singer/bassist, it was only a tomato that was being tossed, not a hardball.
The incident happened at the band's "Rotten Tomato Karaoke" event in Boston, a charity party held to benefit Dropkick Murphys' Claddagh Fund. Casey was the first up to simultaneously perform and dodge tomatoes when the Red Sox closer hit him with a direct shot to the back of the head, knocking the singer off his feet.
"That was the hardest tomato out of the bunch," Papelbon said to WHDH. "I threw a 4-seam. I hope y'all have it on tape."
