The Sun reports that singer Chris Martin incorporated the lyrics of Winehouse's most famous song into the opening bars of the band's own mega hit. An audio recording of the event reveals the crowd singing the "No, no, no" refrain from the the 2006 track.
Posting on their website, Coldplay later wrote, "There's little that can be said about Amy Winehouse's passing that hasn't already been said. It's just such a sad waste. We'll leave aside the awful irony and just let the Aussie choir sing."
The rendition has drawn positive comments from some fans. Irada20 wrote on YouTube: "I heard Chris saying in one interview that Amy Winehouse is the best singer he's ever heard. I'm so proud of you, Amy. That was beautiful. Thanks, Chris."
