The Sheepdogs Call Rolling Stone Cover 'Pretty F---ing Thrilling'

A lot has changed for the Sheepdogs since they rose to international attention thanks to the Rolling Stone Cover Contest -- even before they were revealed as the winners. As they told the heralded magazine during their victory photo shoot, the crowds for their homecoming show in Saskatchewan have increased tenfold since they reached the finals.

"We played on Canada Day in our hometown, Saskatoon. The last time we played in Saskatoon, we played to 300 people, and this time we sold out a show of up to 3,000 people and people were scalping tickets!" bassist Ryan Gullen said of the July 1 gig.

Frontman Ewan Currie was more direct in his reaction to winning the contest: ""It's pretty f---ing thrilling, man! We've been talking about it for months and it just happened, it's pretty surreal and I'm pretty tickled about it."
