Bono's Facebook Investment Worth Nearly $1 Billion

It's no secret that Bono probably has a fortune that would make Scrooge McDuck molt out of envy. But now, as the Guardian reports, the U2 frontman's wealth has rocketed even higher -- thanks to Facebook.

In 2009, Bono's company Elevation Partners invested $210 million into the social network, and thanks to the site's recent valuation at $65 billion, the singer's investment is now worth over four times that amount. Yes, Bono's Facebook stake is now at $975 million.

So, even if he can't keep the cast and crew of 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark' safe, it's obvious that Bono is a pretty savvy businessman. By our calculations, this investment alone could be used to purchase nearly 1.5 million copies of the "Uber Deluxe" edition of the 'Achtung Baby' reissue.
