As 107.7 The End reports (via Rolling Stone), bassist Krist Novoselic is among a cast of Seattle musicians who will perform 'Nevermind' in its entirety to celebrate the record's 20th anniversary. The concert will take place Sept. 20 at the Experience Music Project's Sky Church venue.
So far, the rest of the bill will include the Fastbacks, Vaporland, the Long Winters, Visqueen, Campfire OK, Valis (which features former Screaming Trees bassist Van Conner) and Ravenna Woods, with each band performing a track from the landmark album. The concert is being held as a benefit for Susie Tennant, the PR and Marketing rep for Seattle's Town Hall who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
Tickets to the event are $20 for the public, and $15 for members of EMP. Anyone expecting a Dave Grohl appearance is out of luck, as the Foo Fighters are playing in Cleveland that night.
