As of now, the concert will only be held today (Aug. 26), and any tickets for Saturday and Sunday will be honored. Performers scheduled for Friday include DMB, O.A.R., Citizen Cope and Soulive. The rest of the weekend's lineup was slated to feature the Roots, Josh Ritter, Gogol Bordello, Trombone Shorty, Bela Fleck and the Head and the Heart.
So far, a makeup date for the second two days has yet to be announced. "The Governor of New York has issued a state of emergency, therefore the DMB Caravan events on Saturday, August 27th and Sunday, August 28th have been postponed," a statement on the band's site says. "We will announce the new Caravan Governors Island dates as soon as they have been confirmed."
On top of that, BrooklynVegan reports that this weekend's Afro-Punk festival has been canceled. The organizers have yet to announce anything, but Toro y Moi and Das Racist both relayed the news via Twitter.
