The Vaccines' Justin Young Undergoing Third Throat Surgery, Tour Scrapped

Vaccines frontman Justin Young has been having a tough year. After two throat surgeries to repair his continually damaged vocal chords, Young will go under the knife yet again for his third operation this year, NME reports. The band has since reported that they will cancel/postpone all autumn shows in North America, Japan and Europe.

In a statement posted on the band's website, Young spoke of his great disappointment in having to move the Vaccines' tours back:

"Unfortunately, the doctor has now confirmed that, this week, he will be operating on my throat for a third time this year. It was the wait for this decision, and no other reason, that meant we were able to complete commitments over this last week and why we will not be able to complete those in the coming weeks."

The band will hit the road again on Oct. 26, which will allow eight weeks of optimal recovery time for Justin.

The singer continued, "We are completely devastated by this problem that has continued to plague us personally and professionally during the best year of our lives. Cancelling shows in exchange for repeated hospital visits plain f-----ing sucks. We are simply following the doctor's orders. You have our word on that. We need to be able to perform to the best of our abilities without doing permanent damage to my throat."

The British buzz band have said they will tour once Young has fully recovered, and have already agreed to several dates in the UK in December. Check out the Justin's full statement on their website.
