Julian Casablancas, Perfume Pitchman

We guess there's really no such thing as selling out in music anymore. It's hard enough to make a living as a musician, but it's still jarring to see rockers hawking products, like Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas has done for a foreign fragrance company.

As Consequence of Sound reports, Casablancas has appeared in an ad for French perfumery Azzaro for their newest product, Decibel: The Essence of Rock. As you can see in the video below, Decibel is shaped like a microphone and looks pretty cool. We just hope it smells good, and not like a rock show (i.e. sweat, smoke, booze and more sweat).

The promo features Casablancas diving into a crowd of fans while his song 'I Like the Night' plays in the background. For the sake of the extras, hopefully he sprayed some Decibel on himself before he jumped into the sea of spectators. You never know where these rock guys have been.
