Gene Simmons (Finally) Set to Marry Shannon Tweed After 28-Year Courtship

The duo -- who have been together since 1985 -- "will put a traditional twist on a decidedly untraditional relationship" next month after years of Simmons being questioned when or if they would tie the knot.
"There will no longer be a Team Tweed or a Team Simmons but instead a Team Tweed-Simmons," read a message on KISSonline.com.
According to the post Friday, Sept. 2, wedding invitations were created by their two children with Nick in charge of "drawings of the family" while Sophie Simmons created the message, which includes the note: "Classy Cocktail Attire Requested, although we know some Rockstar attire will be worn." The wedding between the former Playmate and badboy of rock will take place at The Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard.
The pair's relationship was also an integral part of the reality show 'Gene Simmons: Family Jewels' with the rock legend proposing to Tweed on the recent season six finale (the upcoming season begins October 4 on A&E and surely will offer footage from the star-studded ceremony).
And knowing Simmons' notorious knack for merchandising everything with a KISS logo, expect KISS wedding rings, KISS confetti and a KISS "Just Got Married" sign on the back of their limousine complete with empty KISS soup tins bouncing along the pavement.
But perhaps the biggest question is this: If Simmons claim of sleeping with 4,600 women kept them together, what exactly would be grounds for divorce? In related news, KISS announced the band's next studio album will be called 'Monster,' with a world tour supporting the album in the cards for 2012/2013, well after the honeymoon.

One thing is certain--they have two great and grounded children. He has Shannon to thank for that while he was on the road most of the time. They could have been two spoiled rotten kids, but they aren't. Congratulations to the whole family!!

This is crazy. I've long admired Gene Simmons for some time know with his stance on doing drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. He's probably one of the most unique characters you'll ever meet. His stance on his views shows that he will not under any circumstances give into peer pressure. His views on marriage is strange though he doesn't want to get married but he'll live with the same woman for 28 years and father children to her. I glad he's getting married. Simmons tying the knot is long overdue.

He is telling the world that he was exactly like the father that scarred him so much. He did not sleep with these women even if he had a sexual encounter (which they should be called) with them. He is counting every hj, bj, and any other non intercourse activity.No way that guy knows the art of seduction. "Wham bam, thank you mam," he shoulda been singing....maybe he did and I didn't notice....never listed to the bands music. There was so much better music out there. GENE SIMMONS, PLEASE GET A REAL HAIRCUT BEFORE THE WEDDING. Try to beat Donald Trump at giving up the neanderthal look!!

Someone here wrote that they have a Common Law Marriage. Not true, Common Law Marriage does not exist in California. Common law marriage is recognized only in the following states:
