Ringo Starr and Imelda May Cover Buddy Holly -- Video Premieres

Over the past few months, artists have paying tribute to Buddy Holly in honor of what would have been his 75th birthday on Sept. 7. First there was 'Rave On Buddy Holly,' which featured the likes of Paul McCartney, the Black Keys and Florence and the Machine covering the late bespectacled rocker. Now there's another star-studded compilation, 'Listen to Me: Buddy Holly,' that features Ringo Starr, Imelda May, Stevie Nicks, Brian Wilson, Jackson Browne and more.

Now, Spinner is exclusively premiering the studio footage of Starr and May's respective takes on 'Think It Over' and 'I'm Lookin' for Someone to Love.'

"In all of rock and roll history, Buddy is in the top 10!" Starr tells Spinner. "I remember when Buddy came out, his style was so great because his songs were so great. The interesting thing is the first record that I was ever on, it was with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes and we were in Germany in 1960 and we recorded 'Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues.'"

On top of just becoming a fan of Holly's singing voice, May took her fandom a step farther.

"My brother was a fan and I took a little cassette tape out of his room and it was Buddy Holly. And I went crazy for it," she says. "There was a little snippet of an interview of Buddy Holly on it. I learned every single word and breath that he took. I learned it by heart. I could do his laugh, everything! I was completely obsessed."
