Shot by engineer, musician and videographer Mark Greenberg, the just-released video for new song 'Born Alone' showcases the plethora of vintage instruments, knickknacks and pieces of Wilco paraphernalia housed at the group's Chicago loft space.
Greenberg likens the clip to "a super fast-paced scrapbook" of Wilco's Windy City lair, according to a press release, adding that he "wanted to capture as many of the beautiful little details of the loft and all its contents -- bits and pieces of the art and the creature comforts that help create their beautiful little hideaway."
While alt-country diehards grit their teeth, swill black coffee and count down the days until Sept. 27, when 'The Whole Love' hits shelves, there's thankfully one more Wilco-related video making the online rounds. Filmed Tuesday, Sept. 6 at a launch party for the book 'The F---ing Epic Quest of @MayorEmanuel,' it features Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy covering the ubiquitous Black Eyed Peas hit 'I Gotta Feeling.'
"This has been very challenging," Tweedy said, just before giving the tune a mostly straight-faced reading. "I really overestimated myself or underestimated the Black Eyed Peas. I honestly have no idea which, but it's really not my skill set."
