"I am really proud to be named America's Best DJ," said Kaskade. "When I look at the Top 100 list, there are so many talented people on there, people that I have looked up to for years. So, to be awarded this title amongst such an awesome group is a great feeling. I really want to thank all my fans for voting and their continued support."
Kaskade takes the crown from last year's winner DJ QBert, beating out a long list of nominees in 2011, including A-Trak, IDentity tourmate Steve Aoki, Diplo and 'Jersey Shore' star DJ Pauly D (whose nomination was hotly contested in the DJ community, surprise, surprise). The Los Angeles-based DJ will be honored Oct. 9 in Las Vegas at a soiree that caps of the ABDJ contest, which has seen fans vote online and at in-person at events throughout the summer.
Way to go Kaskade!
