"I hope I haven't been fired," the singer told NME. "I don't really know what's going on, because we haven't really spoken recently and I'm a bit too scared to ask." Somebody should tell the man that using the media is not the best way to communicate (the Gallagher brothers perhaps?). Okereke also explained to the magazine the way in which he discovered his bandmates sneaking around on him in broad daylight.
"I was actually having lunch about three weeks ago, just here on 8th Avenue and I saw somebody walk past and I recognised the haircut," he said. "It was Russell. I was like, 'Hey!' but he didn't see me and I followed him around the corner and then I saw Matt, Gordon and Russell all standing outside this rehearsal space. They all went inside."
Okereke is readying the release of his upcoming solo EP 'The Hunter' but if the whole band gig doesn't work out, Okereke could surely find work as a private eye.
