Guided by Voices' Classic Lineup Releasing New Album, 'Let's Go Eat the Factory'

What's extra special about this release? Well, 'Factory' be the first offering from the "classic" '93-'96 lineup (Robert Pollard, Tobin Sprout, Greg Demos, Mitch Mitchell and Kevin Fennell) since the group first disbanded after 'Under the Bushes, Under the Stars.'
This will also be the first Guided by Voices album since 2004's 'Half Smiles of the Decomposed,' which was supposedly their final effort. The classic lineup reunited in 2010 to play a series of live shows, with its supposed "last-ever" show taking place at the Hopscotch on Sept. 9. Looks like the reunion is still on, but you never know what the always-mercurial Pollard has planned.
