Since the death of his late daughter, Amy Winehouse, the bereaved Mitch Winehouse has been putting together a memoir about her life. As reported by The Book Seller, HarperCollins has bought the rights to 'Amy, My Daughter,' a new tome dedicated to his relationship with his troubled daughter.

"'Amy, My Daughter' will be a must read for Amy's legions of fans, and also a heart-breaking account of a father's love for his lost daughter that will speak to any parent," Nick Canham, editorial director for Harper Non-Fiction, said in a press release. "The strength Mitch Winehouse has shown over recent months is truly admirable. His desire to create a definitive account of Amy's life, that will solely benefit the foundation he has established in her name, is something that we are incredibly proud to be part of."

"I feel that I need to write this book to tell the true story of Amy and to help with my personal recovery," Winehouse said in a statement.

All proceeds from the book will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, an organization that aids children and young adults that face drug-addled adversity. It is currently slated for release in 2012.

Are you excited to read about Amy and her father's relationship, or does it add to the noise?

I personally think that M. Winehouse´s book can really help others who have such tough drug problems to overcome.Drugs, alcohol and cigarettes are dreadful addictions that can kill and this addiction is in the genes which are passed on from one generation to the next so some are prone to being addicts whereas others are not. It´s like the wheel of fortune just that you get stuck with a real friggin´ boobey prize! No one gets far by criticizing however with a bit of understanding, a lot of determination and love can make a difference, a big difference!

I love Amy and I can't get enough of her enormous talent. If her father wants to write a book about his beloved daughter to benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation I think it is a wonderful gesture.

The horrible racial and ethnic and overall dissing of Amy Winehouse sickens me. Leave her alone. She is gone and I for one am still grieving.

I think so really f-cked up stuff happened to her growing up.No one destroys themselves like she did when they are at peace in there own head.I also have a feeling her parents know a lot more then they let on why she was so self destructive. Can you say sexual abuse

That is really sick. Why on earth did you have to pick sexual abuse as the reason Amy was messed up?

That's really an extreme assumption on your part.

Amy's parents are grieving.
Live and let live.
Let it be.

All people like her do is destroy families, disillusion fans, and waste their lives. She thought she was so cool. Go to rehab...no, no, no. I guess the grave was more appealing. And stop saying it was withdrawl that killed her. She chose to go down the path of drugs. It was a choice. Her choice killed her. She thought it would be cool to play the part of tortured soul. What a joke. More talent than most people could hope for and she turns herself into a total freak. Totally unattractive and drugged out.

She's clearly dealing with withdrawal in this video , but there's no denying that is an incredible voice.
