The family's official statement didn't reveal the exact cause of death, but as the Huffington Post reports, that information has come to light. Jobs succumbed to respiratory arrest caused by "metastatic pancreas neuroendocrine tumor." The beloved tech guru had fought a long, public battle with pancreatic cancer, a disease he was first diagnosed with in 2004. Following three leaves of absence, he stepped down as Apple's CEO in August, as his health problems worsened.
Jobs was reportedly listed on his death certificate as an "entrepreneur," a title that hardly does the man justice. The California native helped to create sleek, user-friendly products that changed the world, and Apple's iPod MP3 player and iTunes download store have radically transformed the music industry, making it possible for artists to sell music in the age of downloading. He's an entrepreneur in the way Jimi Hendrix was a guitarist or Elvis Presley was a singer, and his influence will be felt for years to come.

Nice one AOL. Don't miss the opportunity to place and ad prior to transmission of a video tribute to Steve Jobs. Tacky at best, though I wasn't surprised at such.
