The Black Keys Releasing 'El Camino' Album in December

The Black Keys are back. After that 'BlakRoc 2' tease that turned out to be a mistake, the gruesome twosome has returned to treat your ears to some good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll. True to their signature goofball behavior, the band announced its new album, 'El Camino,' with a fake website and an oddball car commercial featuring Bob Odenkirk.

On Tuesday, Oct. 11, the duo released more information about the album: The first single, 'Lonely Boy,' will be released on Oct. 26 with the full-length dropping on Dec. 6. The record was produced by Danger Mouse and the Black Keys and was tracked at singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach's studio in Nashville.

"This record is more straight ahead rock and roll," Auerbach promises of the follow-up to 2010's Grammy-winning 'Brothers,' "raw, driving, and back to basics." That doesn't seem too far off from standard Black Keys fare, but this old school El Camino add is helping a bit with imagining what "back to basics" could mean.
