"Being down here and having the spirt of New Orleans, the spirt of improvisation, is license to make something that no one's ever heard before," Ronson, who also worked with Trombone Shorty on the track, says in the clip.
Mos Def (yes, that's still his name for a few more months) and Badu can also be seen laying down their verses over Ronson's jazz-inspired track, saying something to the effect of "Your mother don't wear no draws!" Consider us highly intrigued.
'Re:Generation' was directed by Amir Bar-Lev ('The Tillman Story') and is due out sometime in 2012. Skrillex, members of the Doors, DJ Premier, Nas, Crystal Method, Martha Reeves, Pretty Lights and Leann Rimes are also featured in the documentary.
