"I make all kinds of different styles but I just try to keep the soul, the flavor, the feeling in it, whatever it is," Pretty Lights tells Spinner. "That's the priority. That's the kind of power that I'm trying to like capture."
With tremolo-heavy guitar riffs, Pretty Lights lays on the distortion over his own beats and Stanley's vocals. Rimes, meanwhile, has her voice modulated way up high, giving her a Wanda Jackson-like tone. After a few listens, we'd say the Colorado-bred DJ ably adapted to the genre while retaining the driving force that has made him such a success in the EDM world.
