Back at the beginning of October, Adele wrote to fans about cancelling her tour: "If I continue to pick up everything before I have properly conquered these problems and nipped them in the bud, I will be totally and utterly f---ed."Singing is literally my life, it's my hobby, my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever."
Unfortunately for Adele, her vocal problems were not healing properly and now she must go under the knife for a lasting fix.
Thankfully, the surgery is pretty non-invasive, so Adele should be back to belting 'Rolling in the Deep' within a few months. The procedure has also helped other pop stars such as Steven Tyler, Graham Nash and Elton John in the past. Because we won't be able to see her live for a while, we'll just have to settle for her new live at Royal Albert Hall DVD, out Nov. 29. Get well soon. Adele!
