Amy Winehouse's Posthumous Album 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures' Coming Soon

Before her untimely death, Amy Winehouse had been in and out of the studio recording ideas for her follow-up to the smash hit 'Back to Black.' Now, on Halloween of all days, the late singer's camp has announced Winehouse's first posthumous album, 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures,' a compilation LP with several new songs.

According to a press release, the 27-year-old's family called upon past producers and collaborators Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi to help compile a definitive album of songs recorded throughout Winehouse's career. Some tracks are recognizable, such as the sultry and slow 'Valerie,' which is featured on this collection as a pre-Ronson demo from 2006.

The 'Rehab' singer's love for classic doo-wop shines with 'Our Day Will Come,' a reworked reggae version of Ruby and the Romantics' 1963 hit. Also included is Winehouse's highly lauded duet with Tony Bennett, 'Body and Soul,' perhaps the most heartbreaking addition to 'Lioness' as it was the singer's final studio recording.

Even though there isn't a whole lot of new material on the album, 'Lioness' does boast a collection of B-sides and covers from before 'Frank' and after 'Back to Black' that show how she grew as a singer and performer. And we'd all love to hear how her Brit pipes handle classic Bossa Nova tune 'Girl From Ipanema.' 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures' will hit stores Dec. 5 via Island Records and a dollar from each sale will go the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
