Michael Bolton Says Lonely Island Made Him Breastfeed a Doll -- Exclusive Video
- Posted on Nov 9th 2011 1:00PM by Graham Runciman
Mere minutes after bringing the house down with a rousing version of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' at Ontario's Casino Rama in support of his latest album, 'Gems: The Duets Collection,' Bolton sits in front of a fireplace and excitedly describes his first meeting with the Saturday Night Live jokesters.
"We were just talking about what we could do that still retains the integrity of Lonely Island guys -- the shock value, basically -- and how do we do that and make sure that pays off without offending every person who has ever bought a record of mine," he tells Spinner.
Check out the video below to learn more about the 'Jack Sparrow' recording process and how the tan man with the buttery voice found himself breastfeeding a doll. As he says, "This is not your Grandfather's Michael Bolton."

Well speaking as one of the few people commenting here who isn't a 50+ year old Michael Bolton fan I have to say that this is one of the best lonelyisland vids I've ever seen and Michael did an amazing job as Johnny Depp & Pacino.

I know you have a sense of humor, I know there is a playful side...but this comes across as a desperate ploy to be hip and in all in the name of satire but it just didn't work for me. Sorry - there are ways to stay fresh and young at heart and current...this just wasn't it.
