Young the Giant Perform 'Strings' on MTV 'Unplugged' -- Exclusive Video

2011 has been a breakout year for Young the Giant after the release of their self-titled debut album and performance at the VMAs, and tonight (Nov. 9) they'll continue their roll with the airing of their MTV 'Unplugged' special.

If you can't wait until then, Spinner has an exclusive taste of the band's stripped-down performance of their track 'Strings.' Obviously, the acoustic live version sounds a bit different from the ocean-inspired original, which premiered on Spinner just over a year ago.

"For 'Strings,' we wanted to present the listener with the soundscape of the beach," frontman Sameer Gadhia told us at the time. "In the song, a lover attempts to run away from the sunset in hopes of living the day one more time with his woman. In this surreal, dreamy paradise, the two are each other's only reminder of a fading reality."
