In newly filed court documents, Noel accuses Liam of leaving nasty messages on his wife's phone and attempting to attack him with a guitar, the NME reports.
Noel also blasts his bro/foe for exhibiting years of "irresponsible behavior" and "treating Oasis fans and the defendant with disrespect by disrupting gigs, including walking off stage, assaulting them and generally acting irresponsibly."
The alleged incident with the guitar is what caused Noel to quit Oasis two years ago. "[Liam] went to his dressing room, fetched his guitar, and on returning began swinging the guitar around in the air like an axe, nearly smashing the Defendant (Noel Gallagher) in the face with it," the documents read.
Earlier this year, Noel claimed in a press conference that Liam's hangover was to blame for the group canceling its headlining performance at the 2009 V Festival. That charge led Liam to file a libel lawsuit, and while it appeared the two had sort of settled things -- Noel reportedly apologized and admitted that his brother had, in fact, been suffering from a throat infection -- the recent court filings seem likely to make Liam resume his dropped case.
Representatives -- lord help them -- for the warring rockers have yet to comment, but for the foreseeable future, it seems we have more Beady Eye and High Flying Birds records to look forward to.
