"I think the point is if that had been Michelle Obama who had come out on the stage, and if that song had been played for Michelle Obama, I have no doubt that NBC would have apologized to her and likely they could have fired the drummer, at least suspended him, none of that happened from NBC and this is clearly a form of bias on the part of the Hollywood entertainment elite but it's also I think it's sexism as well," she told Fox News' 'America's Newsroom.'
Questlove, the band's drummer, initially tweeted before the show aired, prompting his followers to pay special attention to Monday's episode of the late night show and that it would "take the cake." Since airing, the Roots member has issued a statement to ABC News regarding his decision to use the song.
"The performance was a tongue-in-cheek and spur of the moment decision," he said. "The show was not aware of it and I feel bad if her feelings were hurt. That was not my intention."
Fallon apologized to Bachmann Tuesday night, tweeting that Questlove was "grounded," and revealed that he would welcome the congresswoman back to the show.

Bachmann is the LAST person to talk about being offended. That lying ass c*** has shown absolutely NO empathy for any of the teenagers in her district who committed suicide following reports of anti-gay bullying. The skank and her pitiful excuse of a "husband" have spent more than a decade publicly demonizing gays and lesbians. And now, she decides to play the "conservative victim" card because of something that she obviously didn't have a ******* clue about when she walked out on Fallon's set in the first place. (I'll guarantee you she wouldn't have known anything about the song and its "offensive" or "sexist" meaning if one of her handlers hadn't been checking out blogs with a decidedly anti-Bachmann tone to see what kind of badmouthing Bachmann was going on at the "ebil librul" blogs.)
And what's really disappointing is all the mealy-mouthed apologies going out from people who claim they're against Bachmann. Where was Michele when her "friends" at FoxNoise (as well as the teabaggers) were haranguing against Nancy Pelosi and Michelle Obama--using language that is no less sexist or demeaning as "bitch?" I'll tell you where she was--sitting back watching the comments and keeping her lying ass mouth shut because she ******* agreed with the comments. Where was Bachmann when Mrs Obama was booed this week at a NASCAR race? Where was Bachmann's sense of outrage? She certainly didn't say a damned thing about it.
Well, Bitchmann. What goes around comes around. I'm so tired of these far-right conservatard nutjobs crying about how they're "victims" of evil Hollywood liberals. If a Democratic woman cried "foul" over some right-wingers sexist comment, she'd be told to "stand up for herself" or "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen" and that the speaker was simply exercising his 1st amendment rights. But when it's a conservative who's on the receiving end of a nasty comment, well, that's a completely different matter and it can't be allowed to stand without retribution.
**** Michele Bachmann. With any luck, we won't have to deal with her after next spring.
