The foursome is also prepping a rarities disc due out next summer. The collection, slated for release on Dangerbird Records, will feature 'All Good Souls,' a song recorded for but ultimately left off of the band's stellar 2002 farewell effort, 'Wood/Water.'
According to drummer Dan Didier, the record will also include three "rockers" demoed before work began on 'Wood/Water.'
"There are a few different odds and ends as well throughout, but that will be the meat of it," Didier told Alternative Press.
This isn't the Promise Ring's first reunion. Three years after splitting up, the band reformed for a series of live dates in 2005. Tickets for the Milwaukee and Chicago gigs -- scheduled for Feb. 24 and 25, respectively -- go on sale Friday, Nov. 25.
For the time being, fans on the coasts appear to be out of luck, but Didier said he and his bandmates will "look into potentially" staging additional shows in 2012.
