Spinner is giving one lucky reader the chance to own this newly minted and remastered version of 'Some Girls' in a deluxe box set, as well as the Rolling Stones' 'All 6 Ed Sullivan Shows' DVD. Head to the bottom of the page to find out how to enter the contest!
In an exclusive five-part audio interview below, Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood discusses his band's stylistic transformation during the making of 'Some Girls' 33 years ago. "Going straight into the Stones' world at the time was a completely different experience for me, in that I had never worked so intensely before on a project. The Faces, for instance, we would go in and everyone would be jangling their car keys immediately in the studio. There was dedication to actually cut the track, but once that was over it was like 'Well, let's go then.'"

December 01 2011 at 12:38 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI've had MANY Rolling Stones albums/CD's over the years, including "Some Girls"! I remember walking through the halls in high school singing at the top of our lungs, "Hey, You, Get Off Of Our Cloud!" & the principal running after us telling us we couldn't sing in the hallways! HA! Too bad, we did it anyway! So, as you can see, I GREW UP with the Rolling Stones.
A few years ago, we went to see their concert in Hershey, PA. It was THE BEST concert I have EVER seen, BY FAR!!! Wish I had Mick's energy!! They just didn't stop! And the pyrotechnics were out of this world, not to mention all of the songs they sang, of course! My favorite was Mick's "Symphony for the Devil"! WOW! The special effects! I could go on! But the bottom line is that their songs just don't go out of "style"! You ALWAYS recognize them when you hear them, & they are timeless! GREATEST rock & roll band of all time! Would LOVE to win!
Absolutely LOVE The Stones!

November 30 2011 at 9:43 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI have seen The Rolling Stones during every one of their tours since the matinee show at Madison Square Garden in July 1972. The first concert of The Stones' "Some Girls Tour" in 1978 in Lakeland, Florida was amazing! I still have my ticket stub. It reads: "Beach Club Presents The Great Stoned Out Wrestling Champions."
During the "Live Licks Tour," The Rolling Stones were practicing in the afternoon at The Roseland Ballroom in New York, across from The Ed Sullivan Theatre. After the band came outside to be whisked away, I chased a white limousine two city blocks. I thought I was going to have a heart attack; however, I chatted briefly with Keith Richards.
I would love to be awarded the prize!
