Live From the Artists Den
This season features a variety of acts performing in special venues. Adele, who was just nominated for six Grammys, played an intimate show at the Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club in California. "Nothing in life moves me as much as being on stage does," she said of the show. "I love the closeness of playing in small rooms, and this room was lovely and simple, just beautiful."
Two shows were recorded in New York City: The Fray hit up the Angel Orensanz Foundation on the Lower East Side and Death Cab for Cutie performed at the Beaux-Arts Court of the beautiful Brooklyn Museum. Kid Rock had the honor of letting loose in Elvis Presley's Automobile Museum at Graceland, a location that was never filmed for television before this.
For some unique arrangements, Amos Lee teamed with Calexico at the Fox Theatre in Tuscon, Ariz., while Iron and Wine performed as an 11-piece group at Atlanta's Buckhead Theatre.
