Pryor's new single 'Where Do We Go From Here' is the perfect pick-me-up for your winter blues. A guitar chugs along at a decent pace as a piano plunks out an infectious melody, like a punk-rock Belle and Sebastian. Despite the happy tones, Pryor's lyrics aren't exactly reassuring.

"At one point I woke up and realized that I was lying to myself," Pryor tells Spinner. "I thought the world was falling to pieces around me and I needed to change it. The problem was, I didn't know what to do. I think I've figured it out now, for the time being. On a technical level, I've always been fond of songs that appear to be happy but are actually quite dark."
Matt Pryor is currently on a U.S. tour throughout the rest of the winter in support of 'May Day,' out Jan. 24 via his own Nightshoes Syndicate label.
