At some point in the night, Toubin returned to his room at the Juniper Hotel and would later be awakened by the horrific surprise. A local call placed into 911 at 10:54AM on Dec. 8 described that a taxi cab had plowed through the side of the hotel and had driven into a room.
"This is way ugly," Officer Stuart Palmiter radioed back to police. "I saw a cab was buried in the room," he told the Oregonian after the incident. The black-and-white Radio Cab had driven directly through a bamboo bush and into Room 115. The car reportedly drove right on top of Toubin, who was still in bed.

"As he was carried into an ambulance, he was able to talk, but completely covered in blood," Lt. Rich Tyler said of the DJ. The car had apparently pinned Toubin against his hotel room wall.

There will be two benefit concerts for Toubin at both Motor City and Home Sweet Home in New York City on Friday night, Dec. 9. Toubin's family has now set up a PayPal account at ihearttoubin@gmail.com where you can send donations directly to the DJ.
