He and his brother Kenneth have just released a spectacular, and most importantly, definitive book on the subject: 'A Perfect Haze: The Illustrated History of the Monterey International Pop Festival' from Santa Monica Press.
Bursting with hundreds of rare photographs, as well as intimate, first-person accounts from many of the artists and contributions from Lou Adler and Michelle Phillips, the Kuberniks have lovingly crafted a substantial title that is one part scrapbook and one part historic document. Joplin, Garcia, Hendrix, Redding and dozens of other legends and compelling characters from the era jump off the pages, which are laced with narratives that put the reader backstage, onstage and everywhere in between.

This book on the festival looks kind of interesting & if I see it at the library I'll pick it up. I WOULD have seen the Beatles at Shea Stadium in 65 as well as been at Monterey, Woodstock & Altamont but I was way too young at the time.
