Speaking with Groove Parlor TV, Fishbone's Angelo Moore addressed the controversy and showed his support for the Roots. "That's all I can think about when I think about how the Roots put us out there and they did that," Moore said. "I remember seeing Michele Bachmann coming onto the show... and he was asking her some questions like what do you think about Obama and she said, 'Failure, finished.' So when they played 'Lyin' Ass Bitch' that was right on time... She needed that s---."
Earlier this month at a Chicago gig, Moore introduced the song with another barb at Bachmann. "That's right, you know who this is for?" Moore said, adding "that bitch deserved it." "That goddamn haircut looks like a ski racer's helmet on it, goddamn hair spray. Shave that s--- off m---erf---er!"
The group released a new studio album, 'Crazy Glue,' earlier this year after they were the subject of a documentary in 2010 called 'Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone.' Watch Moore's spirited intro for 'Lyin' Ass Bitch' below.
