The Jacks' new single, 'Drano-Ears,' is the perfect descriptor for this generation's ambivalence. Teetering between heavy guitar tones and sunshine-fueled indie rock, these New Jersey guitar slingers paint a catchy image of Gen Y's overall manic state.
The accompanying video features the four-piece on the road. Shot in simplistic black and white, we watch the Static Jacks get their rock on while touring all over the world.
"What you see from about 1:52 on for the rest of the video is an attack by a local legend who seems to go by the name Honey-Bee," guitarist Henry Kaye tells Spinner. "Apparently she lives near the venue we played, and came in and attacked our poor, poor Nick Brennan. She just wanted to have a good time, I guess. She tried to have a go at me as well but I wasn't having it."
Check out the spritely video for 'Drano-Ears' below. The Static Jacks' 'If You're Young' is out now via Fearless Records.
