"I'm very weak but I feel amazing" the former Wham singer tells reporters. "It was by far the worst month of my life, but I'm incredibly, incredibly fortunate to be here."
Michael also said he didn't want fans to stress over his condition, so he waited to release a statement until his health improved. "I didn't want to worry my fans too much and I'm really sorry I couldn't contact them in any way before now but I was really not in any state to."
According to ABC News, Michael's doctors spent three weeks "basically keeping him alive." Even though the singer is speaking out about his gaunt and emaciated appearance, there are still some things about the ordeal that he wishes to keep to himself: "I don't want to take you through all of it because some of it I want to protect my family from."
The 48-year-old singer has plans to repay fans for buying tickets to cancelled shows from his most recent European tour. But for now, Michael is going to rest up just in time for the holidays. Here's to a speedy recovery, George!

Though not a great shock to find out that he was a homo I and many other fans figured it out early on or at least a little while after the "Faith" album was relesed back around 87' which I think was his finest work ever. He has had a couple of good releases that are duets that were unforgettable with Aretha Franklin and his partner in crime in music Elton John. As for those trying to judge me for either being mean , etc and trying to find out where I am going with this post then let me say no I simply don't agree or approve of his lifestyle, choice or acting on sin, etc because I don't think it is natural or clean to say the least. Whatever he wants to do behind closed doors at home or in some restroom is up to him but I don't have to blindly approve of it just because the media says so etc. Still though reguardless I am still a fan and I still think he is one of the greatest voices ever in pop 80's music and he was very fortunate to get the help he needed in time. I think at some point later he will simply come out in some interview and simply say that he missed his HIV treatments on his long touring date and the sickness overtook him and he had to cancel his concert dates. Anyway I also hope he recovers and is back touring and has a Merry Christmas.

Loretta Lyn almost died from pneumonia too. I got the pneumonia immunization from the local county health department including the TDaP, and 5 strains of flu including H1N1. I've been surrounded by sneezing sniffling, hacking, sorethroat miserable people for months and I haven't even had more than a tickle....Alfred-
My father in law gets the flu and pneumonia shots and guess what...he is hospitalized nearly every year with pneumonia.

Anonymity sure opens up a lot of BIG mouths.

Christians are so unlike Christ."

AIDS is still rampant in the gay community. It's best to be honest about this so that this disease can be prevented. Living in denial is dangerous.
