During the Wednesday, Jan. 4, show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Sixt had apparently bumped into one Carl Darren Brothers, a drunken concertgoer who became aggressive after the initial contact. The men began arguing while Allman continued to play on stage, then fought for a period of time before Brothers unleashed a knife from his back pocket and stabbed Sixt.
CBS reports the venue's security broke up the fight and subsequently called police. Brothers was booked at the Metro Nashville Jail and charged with aggravated assault, public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He has since been released. Sixt was treated for minor facial lacerations.
If you've ever been to a Gregg Allman concert, you know that the vibe is pretty much the opposite of this guy. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is currently on a U.S. tour that wraps up Jan. 21 in Georgia, with the Allman Brothers heading to the Beacon Theatre for their annual March residency.
