'She Smells So Nice' is a fleet-footed shimmy with roots in rhythm and blues. The next release from the Doors will come on Jan. 20 when there will be a one-time screening of 'Mr. Mojo Risin': The Story of L.A. Woman' at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. The album would be the Doors' last with Jim Morrison, as the frontman decamped to Paris upon its completion and passed away several months after its release.
The reissue of 'L.A. Woman' is set to be released on Jan. 24 and will include eight never-before-heard versions of album songs.

Not the best recording compared to the legendary final cut but these recordings are what got them there. Great job!! People may not like it but I personally love it because it keeps the music alive for the doors. its good to listen to where they started and finished. Their music is gold.

January 10 2012 at 2:28 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyNot into it. The Doors really died the day Morrison died. This is about money, period.
January 10 2012 at 1:55 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyAlthough fun for Doors fans such as myself, it is easy to see why "She Smells So Nice" didn't make it to the album. Sounds like a warm-up song or a work in progress. Those managing Jimi Hendrix's estate are the worst offenders - lots of unfinished or rejected songs in the can have been released over the years and most of them are not nearly up to the standard that Jimi held himself to. Here, the same rationale applies and Ray, Robbie and John should know better.

January 10 2012 at 1:21 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply31 seconds of it was enough. Morrison would be turning over in his grave.
