Classixx Debut 'Fax From the Beach' Via E-Mail -- Watch
Classixx
The video arrived in an e-mail sent to their list, with the enigmatic subject heading "A Fax from the Beach." The body of the e-mail contained solely a pink and blue still, which clicked through to a YouTube link, and no further explanation.
"The title and song were inspired by an AT&T commercial from the '90s," Classixx's Michael David tells Spinner of the mysterious clip. "Morgan Freeman narrates and says 'Send a fax from the beach.'"
Though the low end still rumbles, 'A Fax from the Beach' is a bit dreamier and more nostalgic than their previous singles, sounding something akin to Julio Bashmore's new 'Riff Wrath' single, with a dash of vintage Aphex Twin.
Hopefully Classixx will release their debut LP sometime this year. In the meantime, check their superb new video below.
