"It's impossible not to hear their love for each other when they sing together. 'Emmylou' is about the bond these people shared and the powerful feeling you get when singing with someone you love. It's also about what it means to sing. It's such a different form of communication compared to simply talking with someone. We shot the video for 'Emmylou' at Joshua Tree National Park.

"Gram Parsons used to go there all the time and it was also the place where he died. We stayed at the motel where he died. To go to this magical desert landscape meant a lot to us, it kind of was like a pilgrimage. It has such a special, inspiring energy. We truly understand why Gram loved it so much. We filmed the video on Gram Parson's birthday and we could almost feel his presence. We wanted the video to have a '70s psychedelic feeling. It has a different and warmer atmosphere from our previous video 'The Lion's Roar,' which we recorded in a dark, cold Swedish forest. We're very pleased with how it turned out."
