Jack White Releasing Solo Album, 'Love Interruption' Single -- Listen

Jack White is perhaps the busiest dude in music. Since the White Stripes went on a hiatus that eventually ended in their dissolution, White has engaged himself in numerous collaborations and side projects, as well as plenty of Third Man projects ranging from inventing new types of vinyl to creating tons and tons of tchotchkes.

White has been so ubiquitous in the music scene we almost forgot about one major thing the world was still missing: A Jack White solo album.

But now, the wait is over. White will release his 'Blunderbuss' solo LP on April 23 through Third Man Recordings/XL. The lead single, 'Love Interruption,' is available for pre-order and can be heard below. The single, as well as the non-album B-side 'Machine Gun Silhouette,' will be available physically on Feb. 7.

The record is "an album I couldn't have released until now," White said in a press release. "I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas."
