"It's you, it's you, it's all for you," Lana Del Rey's management has proclaimed after postponing the 25-year-old's upcoming 30-date tour. According to the New York Post (via Rolling Stone), Del Rey's entire team has urged the inexperienced performer to avoid continued bad press and stay home to hone her stage craft.
"[Lana] and her manager decided to cancel [the tour] after 'SNL,'" an unnamed source tells the Post's Page Six. "They figure it allows time for her to clear her head, then go back to selling tickets. More importantly, they figure, the extra time gives them more distance from 'SNL.'"
After a lackluster 'SNL' appearance, Del Rey somewhat redeemed herself by performing 'Video Games' on 'Letterman.' While her vocal abilities were noticeably better, the Internet's harshest critics remain out for blood, bent on destroying the young singer.
Del Rey's rise to fame was preceded by only a handful of shows, two singles and one video. Perhaps postponing the tour isn't the worst idea?
In other Lana Del Rey news, Second City comedienne and singer Holly Laurent has lampooned the puffy-lipped chanteuse in a brand new video. 'Lana Del Rey's Hunger Games' borrows the melody and throwback sentiments of the original but with a special twist from an upcoming blockbuster. Check it out below!
