The Ting Tings, 'Soul Killing' -- Duo Premieres Squeaky Rocking-Chair Song

The Ting Tings haven't released an album since their 2008 smash hit 'We Started Nothing,' but that doesn't mean they've been resting on their laurels for the past four years. After touring extensively, the band retired to East Berlin to begin work on their sophomore effort. A year and a half later, they scrapped their work and relocated to southern Spain to record 'Sounds From Nowheresville,' a record they are now ready to share with the world.

Now Spinner premieres 'Soul Killing,' the third song to be released from that album, which will hit shelves Feb. 27 in the U.K. and March 13 in the United States.



"'Soul Killing' is about frustration in this biz. This is a real squeaking rocking-chair song. Don't let anyone shoot you down!!!" singer and guitarist Katie White tells Spinner.

Apart from Spanish rocking chairs, the song also features horns and the band's signature treble-heavy guitar set to a bouncy reggae vibe. The band will hit SXSW then embark on a North American tour beginning March 20.
