The moment Wisconsin rockers Bon Iver won Best New Artist at the 2012 Grammy Awards, the general populous of Twitter engaged in a series of misguided rants, directed at one Bonny Bear. This hilarious case of mistaken identity has poured into the morning after, with many people still scratching their keyboards, wondering who the mysterious musical entity may be.


This tweet from Flo is one of many currently circling the internet. Unfortunately, not much is known about Bonny Bear, because there exists no such person. As BrooklynVegan has pointed out, many fans watching the Grammys telecast misheard who had won the Best New Artist award, and thus was born Bonny Bear.
