Oliver and crew stumbled upon the literal treasure trove while excavating an old Midland bank, readying the building for the chef's brand new restaurant.
And what was alongside the old tapes? How about a cache of guns, gold and jewelry. Not bad for a day's work.
The loot's overall value is estimated to be around $1.7 million American. But don't worry -- Oliver isn't keeping any of it. The chef has since given all items found to the British treasury. We wonder, what is Joy Division bassist and notorious crankypants Peter Hook thinking right now?
