"Our beloved Celine??????????????" .... Perhaps she is YOURS, but CERTAINLY not mine! When an entertainer who enjoys the benefits of being a Canadian trashes English speaking Canada, she will NEVER be "beloved" in this country.

You're assuming that if those songs had been released by the original artists, they would've been as huge. Not so. Same thing as when an actor passes on a role that ends up winning someone else an Oscar. It depends on what you do with it once it's yours.

I never got handed a song that someone else didn't want to record. If I did, I wouldn't say no, unless it had some technical issues and even then, I would work them out. Why ? I've written songs that I was absolutely certain were hits and they were major duds. It's impossible to predict what people are going to like at any given time.

This spears video looks like a poorly done michael jackson video. It's amazing how much influence MJ had on pop music.
