Adele Flips Off BRIT Awards Bosses After Winning Album of the Year -- Video

Just after winning British Album of the Year for '21,' Adele was in the middle of a heartfelt speech when host James Corden cut her off. "Thank you very, very much," she said. "Nothing is better than coming home with six Grammies and winning Album of the Year. Nothing makes me prouder than to be British."
After getting the hook, which drew plenty of boos from the crowd, an unhappy Adele flipped off the ITV cameras, making way for long, ceremony-closing performance by Blur (check out video below). Before everyone starts comparing her to M.I.A. and her Super Bowl attention-getting shenanigans, remember that this came during the speech for the top award of the night.
"I was cut off during my speech but I wanted to thank the British public for all their support," Adele said in a press conference after the show. "I was held up with my voice and troubles but the album kept walking without me. I flipped the bird for the suits at the BRITS who cut me off. Sorry if I offended anyone but it was for them, not for the fans."
Adele also scooped up British Female Solo Artist earlier in the evening. On top of her wins, the singer stirred up some gossip by showing up to the ceremony wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand, leading to speculation that she's engaged to boyfriend Simon Konecki. Maybe all that talk of settling down and taking time off was legit?

Good for Adele - Im not offended! That sux they only give you 5 seconds to thank everyone- If there's not enough time for each person to have lets say 30 or 60 seconds to say what they want to, then maybe they should cut out some of the BS time wasting segmentsof the program because after all , isn't it ABOUT the performer anyway? ? ? I don't blame her for being angry and 99% of people moaning about how she reacted are probably a thousand times worse for a lot less (i.e if being cut up on a roundabout for example).
If i was in the middle of giving a speech and had already seem how long Blur got to ramble about their boring rubbish and was then cut off so they could perform 3 songs, I would be really annoyed!! I'm glad she made it clear she is not some meek and mild girly, but a woman of substance!!

Blur are britpop legends who deserve some air time.
Its terrible that the wine guzzling, relationship failing, bridget jones watching, 30 somethings didn't get to hear their idol Adele's irrelevant overdrawn speech...that's life. Drink up and have a good cry.
The should not have cut her off like that, but my goodness, have some class about it!

I was stunned that after hyping the "biggest award of the night" throughout the telecast they then pounced onstage and cut her off in mid sentence of her acceptance speech so Blur could get their whole set in...!? I tuned the channel as I'm sure many of us did... Giving the "Suits" the finger was gentle compared to the "besmirtching" they placed upon Adele and "the biggest award of the night!" Such an afterthought but after all... isn't always about the money the Suits make and never about the artist?

She clarified why and to whom. Given the situation somewhat appropriate. I'd say now is a good time to take a little time off.
