Lee Fields: 'Faithful Man' Finds Life Is Still Sweet -- Exclusive Video

Soul revivalists Lee Fields and the Expressions have announced a lengthy tour to coincide with the release of their forthcoming album, 'Faithful Man,' which hits shelves on March 13.

The tour kicks off on March 10 in Tampa, Fla., and continues across the U.S., Europe and the U.K., making over 30 stops, including performances at New Orleans Jazz Fest and SXSW.

'Faithful Man' is the follow-up to Fields' critically acclaimed 2009 album with the Expressions, 'My World,' which reintroduced the soul vet to a new audience 40 years after he first got his start with funk legends Kool and the Gang, Little Royal and Sammy Gordon and the Hip-Huggers.

"You find some guys curl up in a corner and take whatever drugs or whatever, to pacify that inadequacy. I didn't do that," Fields says of his career struggles in an exclusive video which you can view below. "You still breathin' and life is still sweet. A person don't have to be a star to the world to be a star. You be a star in your household man, you doin' good! And I was the star of my household, man. I was the star of my household."
